Explanation of Costs As I have said I am not a tour company nor do I try to make money off taking people to Korea. In essence, each person is paying for their own costs, paying their equal share of the group costs, and sharing my costs of traveling equally with all the other members of the group.
Shared expenses cover the rental car, gas, tolls, insurance, fees and group costs. They also include my airfare and my costs (accommodations, food, entrance fees, etc.)
For example, the costs for hotels, entrance fees, meals, & public transportation might be $500 per person for a 7 day trip. The cost for a rental car, gas, tolls and fees might total $1,100. Now add my costs which are the same as everyone else’s or $500, plus airfare. If the total shared costs are $1,600 and there are only four people in your group, that cost is divided by 4 to equal $400 per person for a total of $900 per person, plus airfare. If there were 10 in your group, the shared costs would be divided by 10 to equal $160 per person for a total of $660 per person, plus airfare.
Organizing a Group: To lower your costs, simply add more people to your group. Let’s say that you were a family of four. A 7 day trip might cost you $900 per person, plus airfare. But, it you contacted another Korean Adoptee family who also wants to go and add another 4 people, your costs might go down to $700 per person, plus airfare. By adding another family of 4, bringing the total to 12, your costs might be $580 per person, plus airfare. Traveling with friends is fun and an awesome way to see Korea. Besides, most people with adopted Korean children know other families that want to go too.
As you can see, all I am asking is to have the group pay my way, my services are free.
